Bridal Makeup
How do I get the best bridal makeup for me?
There really is no set formula to achieving your perfect bridal makeup as it is all down to your unique taste. Nevertheless, there are some key common factors when it comes to nailing your perfect look. Your bridal makeup should enhance your features, represent your personal style and make you feel amazing. Much like your dress, it’s an integral part of your outfit and without bridal hair and makeup that you love, you might feel a bit half baked!’ (which we certainly don’t want). How to pick your bridal makeup artist
There are legions of bridal makeup artists out there, so deciding which supplier is best for you can be daunting. My advice for you would be to study a makeup artist’s Instagram account and ask yourself: Do you genuinely like the style of makeup they post regularly? Stop the scroll, zoom in on their posts and study what exactly attracts you to one bridal makeup artist over another. If you’re looking for a less traditional bridal makeup artist, one who is modern and adaptable then check their profiles to see if they also do fashion and film. You can read more on my bridal makeup FAQs page.My approach to bridal makeup
I honed my skills in the fashion industry in both London and Paris, and for this reason my approach to bridal makeup is fresh and current. I favour luxury makeup brands that look great on the pages of Elle and look great on you. I’m well versed in creating long-lasting bridal makeup styles that will make you feel your best; from stepping on to the aisle, to strutting your stuff on the dance floor. My diverse career in fashion and film means that I am experienced in working with all skin tones and have a bridal makeup kit that will serve all people. Keeping abreast of the latest beauty innovations and trends in bridal makeup is my passion. Everyday I strive to learn something new and evolve as a makeup artist to ensure that I’m providing my clients with a cutting edge service. What bridal makeup style do I recommend for you?
I’m here to recreate your vision of your best self. As a fashion makeup artist I have an arsenal of tips and tricks under my sleeve should you wish to avail yourself of them. Of course I can give you my opinion, but when it boils down to it this is your wedding day and this is your bridal makeup and you need to be the person who loves it the most. What can you expect from a bridal makeup trial?
The trial is an opportunity for us to test out a variety of looks and to pin down your perfect bridal makeup, so that I can recreate it on the morning of your wedding. I encourage you to have a bridal makeup and hair trial 2-3 months in advance of your big day. At this stage you are likely to have your colour theme, flowers and, most importantly, dress all in place, which means we can guarantee that your bridal makeup look blends seamlessly with your overall vision. Prior to your trial booking we will talk extensively about your personal tastes and desired looks, whether it be boho and glowy, fresh and flawless or dewy and demure. Bridal makeup is also a treat for the bridal party and other members of ‘team bride’ are welcome to book in for a trial too.Why have a bridal makeup trial?
I really do encourage all brides to book a bridal makeup trial with me. Firstly, if you have sensitive skin that tends to react then a bridal makeup trial is really important so that we can test out your sensitivity to certain products. Secondly, the few hours we spend honing your perfect bridal makeup will save you a lot of unnecessary anxiety on your wedding day. You will be surprised how fast time flies on the morning of your wedding and knowing exactly how your bridal makeup is going to look really helps to relieve some of the stress. Thirdly, you may have a clear picture of how you would like your bridal makeup, but once it’s applied you might completely change your mind! The trial is the perfect opportunity to test numerous foundations, eyeshadows and lipstick shades until we find your perfect match. If you just want to play with a kit full of luxury makeup, then a trial is definitely for you!Bridal makeup on your wedding day
On the morning of your wedding you will probably feel duty bound to make sure that everything is ready and everyone is doing their part: your bridesmaid has forgotten her reading; your father can’t do his tie; the pageboy’s jacket doesn’t fit… But remember, this is your day and as the bride you are the top priority. In the midst of the morning hubbub , I encourage you to set aside a private area just for yourself. As your bridal makeup artist I suggest that you implement a 'no interruptions’ rule whilst your hairstylist and I are at work so you can enjoy being pampered. You may also experience a flurry of emotions and setting aside a moment of calm is the best way to relax so that you can fully appreciate your day from start to finishHow do I book you for bridal makeup?
